Our client in Queensbury, NY is looking for a Structural Steel Welder. The Structural Steel Welder is a full-time, temp-to-direct hire, Mon-Thur, 5:30 am – 4:00 pm, payrate $16.00-$22.00/hr (depending on experience).

• Primary Responsibilities of Structural Steel Welder Include:
  • Welding, fabricating, setting up, and practicing safe operation of all welding and fabrication equipment
  • Welds to be aesthetically pleasing
  • Work closely with another steel worker
  • Responsible following all safety procedures, policies and maintaining a clean work environment
  • Responsible for wearing safety attire (glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots)
  • Knowledge of the following is a plus:
  • Steel fit-up
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints
  • MIG Welding (Preferable)
  • Forktruck operation
  • Overhead crane operation
• Requirements of Structural Steel Welder Include:
  • At least 1 year of welding experience
  • Must pass a standard drug-screen
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Deadline-oriented
  • Teachable
  • Ability to work with other steel workers closely as a team
