  • I have trouble asking for help.
    • By knowing when you should ask for help, you can show great self-awareness which then can help ensure that the company is being efficient in the task at hand. Rather than spending time trying to figure something out, your co-worker may already know the answer. This can help reduce the amount of time on a project.
    • You can say that you enjoy working independently to get tasks done. Overtime, you have learned that asking for help at times can lead to the project getting done in a faster time frame.
  • I have a hard time maintaining a work/life balance.
    • While being dedicated to your work can really benefit the company, sometimes it can lead to burnout if you are not taking the time off that you need for vacation and family.
    • You can say something that because you really enjoy you work, it’s hard for you to take time off. You have learned that it is important to utilize your time off so you are refreshed for your position to ensure that you daily tasks are being completed properly.
  • I can’t say “no”.
    • You enjoy talking on new projects and tasks. Sometimes you realize you cannot take on any more to your workload but don’t want to upset others. If you keep taking on more projects, it may appear to others that you don’t know how to set limits. This may cause the work to pile up and you not meet the deadline the project is due.
    • You can say that you have a hard time saying no. Overtime you have learned to keep track of all of your tasks to ensure that you don’t have too much on you plate.
