Going into 2021, it is smart to set goals for yourself. This can help you acheive things that you really want to accomplish this year. When you set goals, you want to make sure that they are attainable. Something that is helpful when creating these goals, is to use the S.M.A.R.T. goal acronym. Below breaks down what the S.M.A.R.T acronym stands for.

S = Specific
- Maske sure the goal is specific enough. Include exact numbers/dates/etc. for your goal.
- For example: I want to save $500 this year

M = Measurable
- Maske sure the goal is specific enough. Include exact numbers/dates/etc. for your goal.
- For example: I will put away $50/week on every Friday.

A = Achievable
- You want to make sure that you are able to attain this goal. Don’t make the goal so far fetched that there is no way that you can do it.
- Do not set yourself up for failure.
- For example: I can do this if I cancel my subscriptions to X, Y, and Z.

R = Relevant
- Why do you want to do this? How will this help you? What is the benefit to you?
- For example = By saving this money, I can go on a vacation with my family and friends.

T = Timely
- When do you want to do this by? Provide a specific date and/or time.
- For example: I want to save all of this money by January 1, 2022.
