In Honor of Women’s History Month: Women in the Workforce.

In honor of Women’s History Month, Integrated Staffing would like to take this time to acknowledge women holding positions that simply may not have been available to them in the past such as management roles, VP, CEO, and even owning and operating a business.

Kathryn Gooden as a great example of why we celebrate Women’s History Month. Mary Kathryn Gooden paved the way for women in the workforce. Born in Connecticut later moving to Rhode Island, Mary, became the first female publisher in America in 1766. This was only one of her many contributions towards making way for Women in the Workforce.  In 1775, Mary, became the first female holding a Postmaster position in Maryland. Then in 1789, Mary became one of the first females to own a business. Mary successfully opened and operated her bookstore until she passed away in 1816. Mary’s contributions paved the way for women in the workforce.

We would also like to honor Vice President Kamala Harris. Vice President Harris is first woman, the first Black American, and the first South Asian American to be elected as Vice President of the United States of America. She is helping to pave the way for the younger generation to strive for success and not let anything get in the way of achieving success.

A great example of women leading in the workforce is right here at Integrated Staffing. Integrated Staffing is a Certified Women Owned Business that is owned and operated by Dhianna Yezzi. Dhianna continues to lead the ISC team towards success with her extensive knowledge of all things recruiting and sales. She continues to help lead her team to success over the past 10+ years.
