COVID-19 Prevention: What can you do?

It’s hard to believe that COVID-19 has been around for almost a year now! It seems like just yesterday we were in the beginning stages of it and very unfamiliar with the dangers of it. Cases have unfortunately started to rise again in the area. Now more than ever is it important to remember all of the important things that we can do to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Here are the recommedations provided by the CDC that we are encouraging not only our associatess, but our community as well, to do to help stop the spread of COVID.

  • Wear a Mask. Masks can not only help to prevent you from catching COVID but it can also help to prevent you from spreading it to others. Just make you sure when you wear a mask that it covers your mouth AND nose.
  • Social Distancing. Try to stay at least 6-feet away from people who do not live in your household, especially if you are not wearing a mask. If you have someone sick in your household, try to maintain your distance from them.
  • Avoid Crowds. Try to limit going out to resturants and large gathering. Some states may even have limits on the amount of people you can have in a space at a time. Make sure you check your state’s requirements.
  • Wash Your Hands. Wash your hands multiple times a day. If you are out in public, you should was your hands more often. Avoid touching your face as much as possible. If you cannot wash your hands, use hand sanitizer.
  • Clean and Disinfect. Clean and disinfect commonly touched items often. Make sure you clean items inbetween each person that uses items.
  • Monitor Your Health. Make sure you are keeping track and are aware of your health. Watch for symptoms of COVID and check your tempurature.
  • Stay Home if Sick. One of the most important things to do is to stay home if you are sick. Even if it is a small cough that you think may be allergies, just stay home in case it may be COVID.
