Happy Halloween! We hope that everyone has a great time with family and friends this coming weekend. Thinking about how to keep everyone safe, is a bring priority on this holiday. Since safety is Integrated Staffing’s top priority, we have put together a list of how to stay safe this Halloween.
- Bright Colored Costumes. Chances are you may be trick or treating when it is dark outside. When choosing your costume, try to choose something that has bright colors. This is helps you to be more visible at night while walking from house to house.
- Inspect Treats. Make sure that you inspect all of your treats prior to eating them. Make sure you throw out any candy that isn’t properly sealed and that may look like it has been tampered with.
- Ration Candy. Don’t eat all of the candy at once. Try and only have a few pieces a day. It will help avoid any upset stomachs from overindulging. (It also helps so you can have some candy for a couple more days/weeks.)
- Lighting. Make sure that you are using a flash light while walking from house to house. Also, if you are handing out candy, make sure that the walkway where your trick or treaters is clearly lit to avoid any trips or falls.
- Masks. Chances are your children have not received the COVID vaccine yet. Make sure they are wearing a mask because they are walking from house to house and interacting with multiple people.
- Indoor Gatherings. Avoid indoor gatherings or large get togethers. This can help to reduce the risk of getting COVID. Try to have small, outdoor get togethers.
- Wash Hands. Make sure that you are washing your hands prior to eating your candy. You are interacting with a lot of people on Halloween, so wash your hands to wash away the germs.
- Stay Home if Sick. If you are sick, stay home. Don’t chance going to parties or trick or treating when you are sick to avoid getting others sick.
- Hand Santizer. Use hand sanitizer often while you are going from house to house or at Halloween parties.
Have a safe and Happy Halloween from the Integrated Staffing team!
