Worker’s Compensation rates to drop!

The rate that employers pay the state worker’s compensation board will drop again in 2015, saving employers over 45 million!  The history: in 2013, Governor Cuomo signed the Business Relief Act, charging all employers using a standard methodology.

Wow! Has NYS finally started to listen to employers, make changes to their systems and assess those employers properly?  The jury is still out.   NYS has notoriously been a poor state for business,  In fact, according to http://chiefexecutive.net/best-worst-states-for-business-2014#ranking, NY and California continue to rank 49th and 50th.

Here’s hoping that Governor Cuomo will continue to recognize the small businesses that are integral to NYS’ economy and make the changes to benefit them.
