Dhianna Yezzi’s Integrated Staffing corp. Employs More than 150 People Per Day
Owner of Integrated Staffing Corp. Dhianna Yezzi saw the writing on the wall when she started working for a temporary employment agency at the age of 17. She was intrigued by the art of business, she enjoyed networking and bringing people together. She went on, however, to obtain a bachelor’s degree in art history and a master’s in biology, but has been in the employ- ment industry for 20 years. Yezzi opened Integrated Staffing in 2008 and presently has offices in Glens Falls, Saratoga Springs, and most recently, Albany. The company employs over 150 workers daily, has a staff of five, plus two external recruiters. ISC is a locally owned and operated offering temporary, temporary-to- permanent, and permanent-to-permanent jobs. The company is a state Woman-Owned Business Enterprise. “We offer our associates benefits that our competitors’ cannot,” she said. “We offer skills training and support to help a person find employment and excel in their position.” A typical 9 to 5 day for Yezzi, that she said “is really 8:30 to 6:30” includes conducting consultations and interviews, applicant screenings, drug screenings, recruiting, following leads, filing payroll and networking. “We are filling a lot of IT (information technology) manufacturing technology
and engineering positions right now,” Yezzi stated. “We have 30 to 50 clients who rely on us to help them with temporary employment needs. They are looking for people who are qualified and competent, and we are hoping, for some of our associates, it will lead to permanent positions.” In addition, ISC fills positions for administrative assistants, secretaries, account clerks, receptionists, office clerks, ware- house associates, assemblers, laborers and forklift drivers and Class A and B drivers. Her advice to new entrepreneurs is “prepare to work long hours and be totally committed to your business,” she said. “You also have to be a risk taker. You have to at- tend chambers of commerce functions and network at those events.” Yezzi strongly encourages the use of social media and keeping the company website current. “Track your Internet search engine optimization results and maneuvering accordingly,” she said. “We post on Facebook, Craigslist and Twitter. We have a blog on our website and an RSS news feed.” “And, I can’t say enough about networking and applying for the state certification as a woman owned business,” she said. “So much of a business’ success, especially for women, relies on building relationships – with employees and clients. She said it is important for women who are starting a new business to file for the woman-owned certification. “The paperwork is time consuming, but worth it. You make connections in Albany with that certification and federal and state opportunities surface. I have been down avenues that would not have been available to me without that certification.” Yezzi’s company is affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management and Adirondack Human Resources Association, and is a member of the American Staffing Association, Saratoga Economic Development Corporation, Adirondack Regional, Saratoga and Southern Saratoga County chambers of commerce.
