You’ve found yourself still without a job, and here it is already FEBRUARY  FIRST  twothousandTWELVE!!! It’s halfway through the week, and we have completed the first month of the year. NOW is time for a change and time to make yourself a job! Exciting, right?!

Here is what you need to do to get started—

Everyday, Eight hours a day, Five days a week, Your new job is to begin your job search! Wake up everyday, get ready and go! Make a list of companies that you’d like to work for- Do the research, find out if they have any available positions… Drop off your resume, Fill out an application if there is one available, and follow up with an email and a phone call a few days later! If you do this everyday and are motivated, and committed to find a job- YOU WILL! The longer you are unemployed, the harder it is going to be for you to find work- that is why it is so important that you make YOUR job, Finding a job!

You should also stay in touch with your local staffing agencies to find out what positions are being recruited! Make sure that you are registered and have updated information on file that way you can be contacted if a posiiton comes in that would be  a good fit for you!

This past week, well, past month, Dhianna, Peter and I have been extremely busy [GOOD, BUSY] –This year we have already placed over 30 people in long-term temporary positions, about 15 in short-term temporary positions and have placed 12 permanent positions!! Exciting, Right?! We love that we are able to help, both the employee and employer! We strive to make sure that all of our placements are extremely accurate that way everyone is happy, and stays happy!

Here are some of the current opportunities that we have:

Welders

Two welders needed at a very large company in Wilton! Must be certified, Anyone with fabrication experience and ability to read blueprints is a plus!

Customer Service Representative

We are looking for a Customer Service Representative for a very large organization in Glens Falls. The position is paying $12/hr and starts immediatley!
Requirements:
• Previous experience in Customer Service and/or Administrative Assistant. (2 years)
• Associates Degree
• Superb written/verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Team Player with ability to work alone.
 

Buyer

We are looking for a Buyer- This is a temporary position starting at the end of February and will go throughout the end of June! This is also a great way to get noticed at a very large company as well as gaining some additional experience. Paying $14.50-$16.00/hr.About the position:
Under the general supervision of the Production Supervisor the Buyer coordinates activities involved with procuring goods and services from suppliers. The Buyer will provide support to all areas of the plant.
• Prior Purchasing/Buying Administrative experience is preferred.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in a variety of situations.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent verbal and written skills required
• High School Diploma or GED with one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 

Warehouse Workers

We are looking for three skilled warehouse workers for a large manufacturing facility in Ballston Spa- The position is paying $10/hr.
Previous experience is required, construction, warehouse, general labor, etc.
 

Medical Assemblers

We have numerous MEDICAL ASSEMBLY in Queensbury. The ideal candidate must be able to:
•Insert parts into partial assembly, during various stages of assembly to complete the product.
•Record information, such as the number of products tested, meter readings, and date and time product placed in the oven.
•Feed item onto processing machine.
•Examine product to verify conformance to company standards.
•Count finished products to determine completion of production order.
•Carry or handtruck supplies to work stations.
•Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
•Possible temp to perm opportunity.
•Candidates must have warehouse and/or assembly experience in any form.
